BAHATI WAS MOURNING KIBAKI, DAILY FOCUS CAN CONFIRM.

Two days ago, Kevin Bahati Kioko addressed the media and cried while addressing journalists allegedly because his nomination certificate was revoked by Jubilee. He was vying for the Mathare Member of parliament’s position in the 2022 August election.
Bahati who had received his certificate from Kanini Kega would receive the shocker of his life after Jubillee Party under the Azimio La Umoja coalition revoked his ticket in favor of the Mathare incumbent MP Anthony Oluoch who will defend his seat under the ODM party.
The coalition’s move to zone various areas according to party strongholds necessitated the turn of events. Mathare for that matter was zoned as an ODM stronghold and thus, ODM would present a candidate under the coalition.
That is how Bahati Found himself crying foul before the cameras. On that same day, the celebrated singer went ahead to delete a song he had done with ODM leader and Azimio La Umoja presidential aspirant Hon. Raila Odinga from his YouTube channel and his other social sites.
The twist twisted further because Kevin Kioko, Alias Bahati, insisted that he be on the ballot come August under the Jubilee Party. I guess, he might follow up the advice of a section of Kenyans who have advised him to vie as an independent candidate.
So why what was the real reason for his cry? We can now confirm that he was mourning Kibaki albeit in the wrong forum. It has to beat a lot of logic for most Kenyans to believe that the barua singer was crying because of a revoked certificate.
Kenyans fail to trust that because someone who cries because of a certificate may not have the stamina to withstand a robust and heated parliamentary debate. He may end up crying every moment the likes of Babu Owino address him in political exchanges.
Bahati didn’t take the advice of Jackson Mandago’s advice not to put politics in the heart but rather in the lungs. For that matter, a lot of Kenyans think Bahati is not ready for politics. Kenyans took to Facebook to remind him that Sonko has been frustrated a lot in the recent past yet he didn’t cry.
Raila Odinga himself was rigged of an election yet he never cried of it. William Ruto has complained a lot of times of harassment from state machinery yet he has not cried an inch. In the latest instance, Tim Wanyonyi had to ‘step’ down from running for the Nairobi gubernatorial position in favor of Polycarp Igathe, and yet he didn’t go crying to the public.
So, mtoto wa mama ought to have swallowed the bitter pill and address the media with composure and as a serious contender instead of crying and addressing the press in a queer manner. That is not how serious lawmakers look.
So today is the D-day. Bahati can go and mourn Kibaki at Nyayo stadium. We know he was crying for Kibaki amid the press statement and we choose to not make a big deal of it. On this day he has all the freedom to cry lots of tears and mourn Kibaki openly and we won’t make a fuss of it.
